REAL School Budapest is a new international school for kids who will imagine and shape tomorrow - and today. Through project-based learning, kids discover the world and themselves, develop a sustainability mindset and skills to make a difference, and learn to embrace change. The School is inspired by Green School Bali - where our founding team worked before. While the school follows the National Curriculum in England in its foundational literacies, its focus is on nurturing entrepreneurial skills, wellbeing and personal qualities of its students through real-life experiences.

  • Have started and/or supported causes to better the world (a major plus)

REAL School Budapest is an opportunity for entrepreneurial educators who have the utmost passion not only for teaching, but also for being part of building a dynamic professional faculty, and for developing an innovative learning programme with a purpose. Join a community where causes take centre stage, and real-life project-based learning, student agency and sustainability are at the core of continuous innovation. At REAL School we believe that learning happens based on quality relationships, with students and teachers setting smart goals together, and using modern techniques of assessment for and as learning. Educators at the School collaborate to make the learning relevant, entrepreneurial and art-filled by co-designing cross-curricular units and real-life projects.

1. Support teaching & work with children

  • Assist the educators in planning the learning experience and units, both indoors and outdoors
  • Investigate for the possibilities of using the city and nature as our classroom, and organise the activities
  • Help create the conditions for learning, e.g., preparing materials and space
  • Work with students one on one or in small groups, as needed
  • Work with students online or remotely, if the situation so desires
  • Support and help learners fly when they express passion or curiosity
  • Encourage learners to explore, investigate and create while supporting them along the way
  • Supervise kids indoors, outdoors and on excursions to ensure their safety and security
  • Work actively towards creating a culture of inclusion, empowerment, kindness and curiosity
  • Reinforce the idea that children need to trust themselves, their own judgment and their abilities to learn anything
  • Create and foster authentic relationships with the children

2. Make your own project happen
Find and carve out a meaningful area of the school/community/life to improve and take to the next level. Come up with your own project, pitch it, get support and make it happen.

3. Take responsibility for operational matters
Take responsibility for some operational matters of the school, from looking after the food garden, through to participating in lunch duties to taking attendance roll.
